Who we are
This website belongs to Theo Tzia Architectural Photographer, 86-90 Paul St, London EC2A 4NE, company number 15190663. Questions about your information go to theo@architecturalphotographerlondon.co.uk.
When you get in touch
The contact form and the guide sign-up are sent through Web3Forms, which emails them to us. We receive what you enter: your name, email, phone number, message and any file you attach, or your email address for the guide. We use it to reply, to send the guide you asked for and to run any shoot you book. Cloudflare Turnstile checks each form is sent by a person, not a bot.
The website assistant
The site has an AI assistant, Ellis, that answers questions about Theo's photography. What you type or say to it is sent to Anthropic, which writes the reply. Spoken replies are made by ElevenLabs from the reply text. If you talk to the assistant, your browser records what you say and sends the recording to ElevenLabs to be turned into text; some browsers also use their own speech recognition, run by the browser's maker. Recordings are not kept by us. To stop the assistant being misused, we use your IP address to limit how much it can be used in a short space of time. Please do not enter confidential or sensitive information into the assistant.
We keep a record of each conversation for up to two years: what you asked, what the assistant replied, the page you were on, the time, your approximate location (country and city) and the type of device and browser you used. We do not store your IP address with it. Instead we keep a one-way code (a hash) made from it, which only lets us tell that two conversations came from the same visitor. We read these records to see what people want to know, to improve the assistant's answers and to follow up if you ask us to. The lawful basis is legitimate interests. Conversations are not used to build a profile of you and are not linked to your identity unless you volunteer contact details.
If you send your details from the short form inside the assistant, we receive your name, your contact number and a summary of your chat, and use them only to reply to you. If you follow a link from the assistant to the contact form, the message box starts with a summary of your chat, which you can edit or delete before sending. That summary is held in your browser's session storage, which is cleared when you close the tab.
Who else handles it
The site is hosted by Vercel, which keeps short-term server logs. Fonts come from Google Fonts. The services named above (Web3Forms, Cloudflare, Anthropic and ElevenLabs) process what passes through them on our behalf. We do not sell your information or share it for anyone else's marketing.
How long we keep it
Enquiries are kept for as long as we need them to deal with your project and for our business records. Chat records are kept for up to two years.
Your rights
You can ask to see the information we hold about you, to have it corrected or deleted, or object to how we use it, by emailing theo@architecturalphotographerlondon.co.uk. If you are unhappy with how we have handled it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk).
