Architectural photography in London and the UK
An architectural photographer documents buildings and spaces so the people who made them can publish, market, and archive their work: the massing read cleanly against the sky, the materials rendered true, and the light caught at the hour that flatters the form. That is the job, and it is more than a record shot. I photograph completed architecture across London and the UK for architects, developers, and the wider design team.
Every commission is planned around the building and its light, shot on site with full lighting and access equipment, then finished by hand so verticals are corrected and the frame reads as the space feels. The result is a considered set of exteriors, interiors, facades, and details that works as hard for an awards entry as it does for a website, a tender, or the press.
I have photographed for architects, developers, and design teams across London, from cultural buildings like English National Ballet to workplaces, residential schemes, and mixed-use towers. Wherever the project sits, the aim is the same: images that do justice to the design and earn their place in your portfolio, your next bid, and the press. How it works
A simple, planned process
Brief and recce
We start with a short brief and, where it helps, a site recce: the building, the shot list, the deadline, and where the images will be used.
The shoot
I attend on site with full lighting and access equipment, shooting around the light to capture a considered set of exteriors, interiors, and detail.
Selection and edit
You review a contact sheet of every frame and choose your selects. Each is finished by hand: verticals corrected, colour matched, and distractions removed.
Delivery and licensing
Final files arrive in high resolution for print and web-sized for digital, licensed for your use, usually within five working days.

How much does an architectural photographer cost in the UK?
My rates are fixed and published: £700 for up to 20 final retouched images with up to 3 hours on site, or £1200 for up to 40 images with up to 6 hours on site. Travel within London Zones 1 to 4 is included, and the rates and licensing page sets out exactly what each rate includes.
Do you photograph both the exterior and the interior?
Yes. Most architecture commissions cover exteriors, interiors, and the details that tie a scheme together, planned across the day to catch the best light on each.
Can the images be used for design awards and press?
Yes. Images are delivered in high resolution for print and press, cleaned up and corrected so they meet the standard expected by design awards and architecture titles.
What does an architectural photographer do?
An architectural photographer plans and shoots buildings and interiors for the people who design, build, and market them. That covers scouting the light, controlling verticals and perspective on site, and hand-retouching the final frames so they are ready for websites, award entries, tenders, and the press.
How are your images licensed?
Images are licensed for your use across your website, social media, portfolio, and press. Extended licences for project partners, such as the architect, contractor, and manufacturer, add 30% of the invoice per additional party when arranged before invoicing, and the cost can be split between everyone.
How long until I receive the images?
A first gallery of selects usually arrives within five working days of the shoot, with finished retouched files shortly after. Press and tender deadlines can be prioritised.
Do you travel outside London?
Yes. I am based in London and work across the UK, with travel quoted per project. International commissions are also welcome.
